As school contract therapists, we know what it's like to always be on the go.

You run between school buildings, scurry up and down the hallways between treatment sessions, and rush to make it on time to evaluations and meetings. And at the end of the day, you realize that all you've had to drink all day was a sip of coffee.

Therapist's time to hydrate. And we think that you should do it in style. After all, the research shows that if you have a water bottle that you really love, you'll drink more water.

Just kidding. We made that up about the research. But it seems like it could be true, right? We think you should test the hypothesis by snapping up one of these beauties...some of the best travel water bottles on the market! You need to add these to your self care toolkit!

The Best Travel Water Bottles for Therapists

YETI Rambler

Orange YETI travel water bottle

You can't go wrong with a YETI.

Keeps your H2O cold all day long and passes the durability test - this thing can take a beating (e.g. a flying ninja kick during your 9am appointment or a kicking/screaming tantrum to finish off the day) and still holds up without leaking!

Stanley IceFlow

Green Stanley travel water bottle or cup

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard of this iconic cup/water bottle.

We were could a water bottle bring such joy to SO MANY influencers? But, as it turns out, it does actually live up to the hype.

Go find your joy. Get the Stanley. The perfect therapist gift.

S'well Stainless Steel

Blue S'well travel water bottle

It's sleek, it's pretty, and it comes in a ton of awesome colors.

If you're going to test out our pretty water bottle/hydration hypothesis, this one is a strong contender.

We recommend grabbing your 2 favorite colors - one for your car and one for your therapy toolkit!

Veegoal Glass

We're suckers for the look of this one - glass with a fun splash of color and wood? Yes please.

This glass option might be better to keep in your car and away from your clients (note the above reference to the flying ninja kick).

You'll feel like you're drinking out of a piece of art as you speed from building to building, inevitably late for your next appointment.

Camelbak eddy+

Blue Camelbak travel water bottle

If you're an OT, you might recommend this brand of water bottle for your oral sensory seekers, but it's perfect for us grown-ups too!

We've been using this one for years and we can attest that it won't let you down by spilling into your therapy bag and soaking your brand new laptop (true story...we're harboring a lifelong grudge against that cheap, off-brand plastic water bottle...never again).

Owala FreeSip

Owala travel water bottle

We can't say enough good things about this water bottle. The top snaps tight with an extra lock that doubles as a handle and we love the open top/straw design.

Another non-research backed finding...we think that we drink more water when we use a water bottle that has a straw.

Nalgene Sustain Tritan

Nalgene travel water bottle

Before we were therapists, (aka younger with more energy) we invented a game with the following rules: 1- Swing your friend's water bottle around while yelling, "this is gonna be a good one" 2- Launch the water bottle into the woods/water depending on your surroundings 3- Laugh and watch your friend go for a hike/swim. The moral of the story? This Nalgene bottle always held up the longest.
